The Festival

Oia, Santorini, Greece
July 10-12 2009

A maze of tiny streets and short movies.

The town of Oia, Santorini, is perched upon the dramatic cliffs of the most beautiful island in the Mediterranean. Oia’s narrow streets wind through a maze of iconic, whitewashed stone houses and blue-domed churches.

This July again Super 8 projectors will be scattered throughout the village and the audience will be given maps to navigate through the maze of streets, with details provided on the films and the film makers behind them, and sent off into Oia’s nightlife.

The white walls will become natural screens and images will be floating in the streets.

As the night progresses, participants and passers by will discover films dancing on a vendor’s nook or the chipped surface of a wall’s remains. Live music will be accompanying the films projected.

And each night, your audience will vote for its favorite film.
